Introducing Internet Information Technology's Business Services
Internet Information Technology, Inc. offers our customers a wide variety of Internet-related access methods and network management services to help customers run their businesses more efficiently and effectively. IITEK has the skills, experience, and capabilities to help you leverage technology to solve your business problems and reach your business goals.
Internet Information Technology, Inc. can be categorized in the following way:
Dedicated Internet Access
We offer Frame Relay, Native Mode LAN Interconnect (NMLI), and Connectionless Data Services (CDS, also known as SMDS) Dedicated Internet Access methods.
Our Frame Relay transports include DS0 (64Kbps), DS1 (1.5Mbps), and DS3 (45Mbps) port speeds. We also offer many different fractions (such as 256Kbps, 384Kbps, 512Kbps, etc.) within these port speeds so customers can select the most appropriate bandwidth for their needs. Lastly, we provide a wide variety of committed information rate (CIR) levels so customers can reserve the bandwidth most appropriate for their mission critical application environments.
IITEK also offers a variety of packaging options with our Frame Relay service; for example, our "Packaged" service includes CISCO provided equipment (CPE, typically router and CSU/DSU), local loop, access port in our Managed Facility, and access to the Internet. The "Customer-provided CPE" option allows customers to provide their own router and CSU/DSU. We also can provide a permanent virtual circuit (PVC) for those customers who already have private frame relay networks and desire Internet access.
Native Mode LAN Interconnect, or NMLI, is a solution for those customers who require access speeds between DS1 (1.5Mbps) and DS3 (45Mbps). The NMLI transport provides a 10Mbps bandwidth and is delivered over a fiber ring. We check with your local carrier to make sure your location is served by this service.
Connectionless Data Services, or CDS, offers yet another option in access methods for customers who may already have private CDS networks installed or have existing skills and expertise in this technology. Some customers may also know this service as SMDS.
These transport methods can be used to connect your company's computer, LAN's, and people to the Internet so they can research competitive information, email co-workers, and connect remote locations. In addition, many companies are running more line-of-business applications over the Internet to further enhance their ability to coordinate remote departments and areas of expertise. Dial-Up Internet Access
IITEK Dial-Up Internet Access supports both standard modem (28.8Kbps) as well as ISDN (64Kbps) access. We offer single and/or multiple email accounts, and a customer service help desk. In addition, we also provide the IITEK-branded version of the Internet Explorer browser, which has been specially designed and customized to provide our customers with the local content they desire with fast, convenient access to the vast information resources of the Internet. Dedicated Intranet Access
Similar to the Dedicated Internet Access, IITEK offers a variety of access methods and the same convenient packaging options. In addition, though, we provide the ability to limit the sources and/or destinations of your traffic to create Intranets within your company or "Extranets" which include your suppliers and customers. In short, this solution can help facilitate fast, accurate communications with other organizations within your company, your key suppliers, and, most importantly, your customers. This, in turn, can help you provide better customer service and increase your business success.
Dial Intranet Access
This solution from IITEK provides "local only", Intra-LATA dialup access through the local carrier to the BMF and is usually paired with a Dedicated Intranet Access connection. The traffic from these users is not allowed to go to the Internet; instead, their traffic usually rides a dedicated connection to the destination. A good example of this solution is telecommuting. Most employees live within the same LATA as they work. A telecommuting employee could use this Intranet Access to gain a connection to the BMF. This employee's traffic could then ride the Dedicated Intranet Access connection to the office and thus could access the company LAN just as if he/she were sitting at his/her desk.
Managed Router Services
As networks become more important to the overall infrastructure of a company, maintaining network availability becomes critical. IITEK's Managed Router Service offloads some of the responsibility of maintaining the network from our customers so they can concentrate on running their business while we focus on maintaining their network. This service allows our customers to leverage our investment in the Network Operations Center, which is staffed by networking professionals on a 24 x 7 basis and is responsible for proactively monitoring and managing our customer's circuits.
There are three levels of coverage: Monitoring, Premium Monitoring, and Management. Monitoring provides proactive "surveillance" of a customer's routers. Should something go wrong, we will contact the customer's designated contact and inform them of the existence of the problem. Premium Monitoring provides this same level of monitoring; however, when we discover a problem, we will deploy the customer's contracted third party resources (such as a hardware maintenance provider) on the customer's behalf to resolve the problem. Lastly, Management also provides all the benefits of proactive monitoring, but when problems occur, we deploy our own resources to fix the problem. Further, at this level of service, we have written configuration to your routers so we can proactively perform the tasks that keep your network available so you can run your business.
